Your ticket in Wallet
Add your ticket to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, what the pass shows and what happens if the event changes.
A Festivio ticket goes into Apple Wallet on iPhone and Google Wallet on Android. At the gate and at the bar you show the pass's QR, without opening the website or signing in. Events on sale are on festivio.it.
Where to find the button
- In the confirmation email, in the Save your pass section: Add to Apple Wallet, Add to Google Wallet and Download ticket. The email links work without signing in for 30 days. After that, they open the ticket page, which asks you to sign in.
- On the ticket page on Festivio, under My tickets, once signed in.
- After paying, on the confirmation page, if you are signed in. If you bought without signing in, the page offers Sign in for your tickets with the email you used.
- In the Festivio app, which adds the pass straight to the phone's Wallet.
On the website you see the button for your phone: Apple Wallet on iPhone, Google Wallet on Android, both on a computer. The email always shows both.
If you bought at the cash desk without giving an email, the cash desk shows you a QR: scanning it opens a page with the same buttons. To find tickets bought at the cash desk or with another email, My tickets has Find your tickets.
One pass per event
You have one pass for each event, holding everything you bought for that event: tickets, drinks and extras, and food. The QR is the same at the gate, at the bar and at the cash desk. If you order more during the event, it goes on the same QR and no new pass is needed.
The pass does not list your items or how many drinks are left. You find them on the ticket page, under Your items.
What the pass shows
- The event name, date, time and place, in the event's time zone.
- The holder's name: your account name, or your email.
- The event image and the QR.
- While a dish is being prepared or is ready, the order number.
On Google Wallet the pass also has the links My tickets and Event details.
If the event changes
If the organizer changes the event's name, date, time, place or image, the pass updates by itself. On iPhone the update arrives without a notification.
The pass also updates when an item is used, refunded or sent to someone else: the QR only covers what you still hold.
After the event the pass leaves Google Wallet's active passes. In Apple Wallet it stays until you delete it.
Send a ticket to someone else
On the ticket page, Send opens one sheet: pick the items (a stepper sets how many of the same drink), write the email and tap Send. The recipient accepts it once signed in with that email, and finds it in their own pass for the event. Until then the item stays in your pass marked Pending; once accepted it leaves your pass.
Without Wallet
- Download ticket saves the ticket as an image. On a phone the share sheet opens: Save Image puts it in Photos.
- Download as PDF saves the ticket as a PDF. The PDF is also attached to the confirmation email.
The image and the PDF carry the same QR as the pass.
When the button is not there
- When everything on the ticket has been used, cancelled or refunded. The ticket page shows Scanned, or Nothing to scan if nothing was used.
- On Google Wallet, after the event has ended, if the pass was not already saved.
