Messages to attendees
Send an update to everyone with a ticket: a new time, a new place, a note for the night.
From Messages, in the event's side menu, you can write to everyone who has a ticket. You need the Owner or Manager role.
Who gets it
Everyone with a completed order for the event, including people who bought without an account. Test orders do not count. The top of the page shows how many people it reaches.
- Each person gets an email.
- People with the Festivio app, or with the site's notifications on, also get a notification.
The message also reaches people who opted out of promotional email: it is an update about an event they have a ticket for, not advertising. People who do not want the notification can turn it off in their settings; the email still arrives.
Write and send
- Write the Subject, up to 150 characters.
- Write the Message, up to 4,000 characters.
- Press Send to and the number of people.
- Check the text in the confirmation and press Send to again.
A sent message cannot be edited or taken back.
Before Festivio's review
Until Festivio has verified your organization, we read every message before it goes out. In the Sent list it stays In review until we approve it; if we do not, it shows Not sent with the reason. Once your organization is verified, messages go out at once.
Until then, people who bought at the cash desk do not get messages: the number at the top of the page leaves them out.
A suspended organization cannot send messages.
Limits
- At most 3 messages every 24 hours per event, and 10 per organization. Messages in review count too.
- Messages can be sent until 14 days after the event ends.
Under the message, Last 24 hours shows how many you already sent for the event.
Sent messages
The Sent list shows every message, newest first, with its state, the date and how many emails and notifications went out. Tap a message to read all of it.
Right after you send it, or after we approve it, the message is Sending, with the number of people it goes to. It turns Sent once every email and notification has gone out: usually a few seconds, a few minutes for an event with thousands of attendees. You can close the page: sending carries on. If sending stops before reaching everyone, the message shows Not sent: write to support before sending it again.
