Create an event
How to create an event, configure it and publish it.
An event starts as a draft. You configure it in the editor and make it visible when it is ready.
Create the draft
- On Overview, press Create Event (or Create your first event if you have none yet). You can also use New Event in the side menu.
- The editor opens with a preview of the event page. Press Edit Event at the bottom to open the Create New Event panel.
- On the Basics tab, fill in Event Name and Start Date. The End Date is set to 5 hours after the start: change it if your event runs longer or shorter.
- Check the Timezone. Dates and times on the page, tickets, wallet passes and emails follow this timezone.
- Press Create Event at the top right.
- In the Create Event? dialog, press Create Draft.
The start date must be before the end date.
Every tab, the location and the cover image can be filled in before the draft is created.
Tickets belong to a saved event. To add them straight away, press Save draft and add tickets in the Tickets box of the preview or on the Commerce tab: the draft is created and the page for adding the first item opens.
